Best Stroll(er)able Paths in Salem Oregon
Are you a new mom in the Salem area? I have compiled a list of regular stroller friendly walking paths in the Salem area along with how mom-friendly the paths are.
Minto-Brown Park
Length: miles of paths
Path quality: not all paths are paved so pay attention to maps and area is prone to flooding
Highlights: ponds, rivers, connects to Riverfront Park
Sketchiness: Not so bad because the Park has volunteer safety patrol bicyclists and the park is pretty busy
Bush’s Pasture Park Length: good length, nice hills for harder workout
Path quality: not all paths are paved
Highlights: playgrounds, easy parking most of the time, easy access to a Starbucks
Sketchiness: not too bad. Some transients in area but seem to keep to themselves. Park is pretty busy with runners.
Riverfront Park
Length: now connects to Minto-Brown so it can be long if you want
Path quality: great paved paths!
Highlights: playgrounds, carousel, water fountain, new pedestrian bridge
Sketchiness: least sketchy park in Salem
Wallace Marine Park
Length: This varies, it is best to park there and cross the bride and walk to the Riverfront Park
Path quality: paved, good
Highlights: Crossing over the pedestrian bridge
Sketchiness: Mildly sketchy. A lot of transients in this area. Park your car at your own risk.
