Best of Oregon Camping: The Cove Palisades State Park

My favorite place for "glamping" is at the Cove Palisades State Park. I consider it glamping  because it feels more like a resort than a campground. It features two campgrounds, boat rentals, a swimming area, deluxe cabins, a playground, and the nearest town with a Starbucks is only 25 minutes away. Located in Culver, Oregon, this campground is about 3 hours away from both Portland and Salem. I have been camping here too many times to count because it is truly so much fun for families!

Below I have pictures from camping at the Deschutes Campground and the Deluxe Cabins and the motorcycle ride we took through the area.

Sunset on the lake was when the otters were most active. We loved watching them catch their dinner and play.

Our cabin for the week was amazing. It had a bathroom and fridge and even an outdoor grill!

The lake was so quiet because it was late September and most people were done camping for the season. The weather was still beautiful though!

This hill is so steep! I was so scared of sliding off the back of the bike.

On our way to get Starbucks!
